We are thrilled to see some familiar faces on this incredibly strong slate of individuals. Will Smelko, who is running for ASUC President, was the co-writer of BARE's bill, and Dani Haber, was spotted just last weekend supporting the Fierce and Feminine event where BARE models showed off the most chic of trends in ladies' business attire.

Look forward to letting readers know of other BARE familiar faces from other ASUC parties as the slates get announced. But in the meantime, check out Will Smelko and Dani because they are certainly friends to BARE magazine!

Is politics really BARE's focus? I dunno, I kinda like BARE without a side of ASUC politcking, thanks.
ReplyDeleteAs long as BARE's not biased (as they say they won't be...) I don't mind it! Good to see asuc candidates actually DOING something - aka, supporting cool pubs like BARE and other events around campus. I don't mind it and based on all the other posts.... totally doesn't seem like asuc is at all bare's "focus"! =P
ReplyDeleteOoh sorry, I meant to include this before... I do agree with "Christine", please don't politick too much. =P
ReplyDeleteI'm really sad that Student Action slated Will Smelko... he supported prop 8 in the senate, and didn't think the ASUC should stand up for my rights, and it makes me feel very uncomfortable that SA would support such homophobia in the executive slate. I was hoping for better this year from my party :(
ReplyDeletethats not true, WIll is awesome, he didnt support prop 8 in the senate, he abstained from the vote because the bill was poorly written, dont worry your party def didnt nominate a homophobe that would be ridiculous
ReplyDeleteYAY! GO WILL!!
ReplyDeleteBARE is not necessarily supporting particular candidates, but just trying to give a fair awareness to Cal. There will definitely be many representations from all sides. Just stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteI would just like to say that Dani Haber is gorgeous! And like John said, there will be a variety of candidates showcased by BARE. This will be great for students of CAL.

ReplyDeleteThese 4 candidates have ESPECIALLY supported BARE magazine! Will wrote the bill for it and fought till the wee hours in the morning to get them the money they deserved. Tu, also a senator, cosponsored the bill and participated in the debate the whole time!!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, the Student Action slate is looking really strong and I can't wait for the elections!
abstaining from a prop 8 vote isn't much better than voting for it. it's just a way for him to publicly avoid supporting something that he knows will rightly infuriate the non-homophobic people here. i bet the calserve nominee for president voted against prop 8...
ReplyDeleteLOL meghana.
ReplyDeletethere was no fight for bare magazine.
they were supported all around the table.
if anything, i believe that will continuously forgot to include this bill in the packet...
guess he didnt care that much
They are all great supporters of BARE. They've been seen at their events. They are great candidates.
ReplyDeletelol meghana's an idiot. and this slate is incompetent. hurray!! our student government is gonna suck!!
ReplyDeletenot only is Will Smelko HOT, but he is positively creative.
