The night started with a dance performance by Alliance Streetdance, mixing different styles for an impressive show.
Mary Meyer presented easy basics with fun colors and intriguing designs, with an array of t-shirt dresses that could easily transition from class to a night out. Edith Palm’s opening dress was a fun and flirty frock that showed movement and versatility. Tu.Tu.Blu was one of the most cohesive collections of the night, showing a range of colorblocked minidresses in a muted palette of blacks, grays, and pastels.
Molly Murphy is a high school designer featured as the winner of a fashion mentorship at Stanford, and showed an impressively creative three-piece collection. Her innovative use of wool and interesting silhouettes makes her a designer to watch. The “recycled couture” of Kittinhawk showed a sexy side to deconstructed knits with a mix of fabrics and impressively crafted high collars.
Even menswear was well represented, from underwear and swimsuits by Andrew Christian and aussieBum to the more upscale pieces of Claiborne by John Bartlett. His final look, a grey-and-white pinstriped suit, wowed the crowd with its finely tailored aesthetic.
After a finale walk of two closing looks from each designer, the show came to a close. The coordinators Thom Scher and Wayne Hwang delivered a heartfelt thanks to all the contributors that helped make this show a reality. We’re thankful we were able to attend, and look forward to an even bigger and better show next year.

The mens’ underwear collection by Andrew Christian was a crowd-pleaser. We wonder why.
Molly Murphy’s innovative use of fabrics was even more impressive considering she’s still in high school.
The deconstructed looks of Kittinhawk were sexy and well-crafted.
