For their Spring 2010 show, D&G brought us some good old-fashioned rodeo fun, with a collection as American as apple pie. Distressed faded denim was the star of the show, in the form of slouchy cuffed boyfriend jeans, ruffled mini dresses, snap-front collared shirts, and thigh-skimming minis. Also in the collection were lacy eyelet dresses and blouses, tiered skirts in shades of tan and cream, and in typical D&G style, a few leather bustier dresses for good measure. Models looked like they had stepped straight out of the wild wild West with leather belts and cowboy boots, fringed suede boots, and bandannas tied around their necks. Overall it was refreshing to see a collection that was fun and wearable, even for a Berkeley college student, and I could totally see myself going to class in one of these casual button-up shirts paired with some high-waisted denim shorts, a great leather belt, and a studded saddle bag for my books and laptop.
