Springtime is here at last -- or at least until it starts raining again -- and the UC Berkeley campus is alive with student elections, organizations tabling out in Sproul Plaza, and more prospective students visiting than any other time of the year. All of this is gearing up towards Cal Day, April 17th, when the whole campus shows off its best.
It's no surprise then, that the ASUC Art Studio is putting on its Spring Art Sale, starting on April 17th, and running through the 20th. Based in the MLK Jr. Student Union, the ASUC Art Studio provides an affordable and welcoming community space for both Berkeley students and community members to hone their artistic skills. The Spring Art Sale gives us the opportunity to see the fruits of their artistic labors, and maybe even take a piece home with us. It's a great way to buy handmade and support local artists, including Cal students. Think of it as an Etsy shop set up right in your own neighborhood, featuring artwork created by people you know, and without the shipping fees!
Check it out on the lower level of the MLK Jr. Student Union on Cal Day, April 17th, from 10 am to 6 pm, or on April 18th through the 20th from noon to 6 pm. Any additional questions? Call the ASUC Art Studio at 510-642-6161 or email them at firstname.lastname@example.org
