French Vogue’s 90th Anniversary

On September 30, French Vogue held a party to celebrate its 90th Anniversary in Paris. The theme was “Eyes Wide Shut,” allowing celebrities and guests to get creative for this masquerade ball. Celebrities ranging from burlesque queen Dita Von Tesse to supermodel Giselle Bundchen arrived with beautiful masks to match their gowns.

Tyra Banks caught a lot of attention not only on that day but also in the cyber-world for creating her own mask for the ball. On her Twitter, she posted: “So FRENCH VOGUE mask is sum cheap FISHNET stockings I got n crazy store n Paris! I cut em up n made it y'all. N did my own hair n makeup." Although more on the thrifty side, she managed to pull off the look quite well.

My favorite, by far, was Anna Dello Russo, Vogue Japan's fashion director at large. Fearless and ready to stand out, she wore a white Pucci gown and headpiece by Gareth Pugh.

French Vogue also cleverly had the party theme match the cover of their 90th issue, which features top model Lara Stone. With the best on the cover, French Vogue continues to make an impression that stands up to its 90 years of reputation.

  1. "N did my own hair n makeup"

Awesome! I love it when celebrities say that. It's like when 3 year old says

    "I brushed my own teeth"

"I wiped my bum ALL by myself!!"

Whose a big girl? Tyra! Yes you are!
