Always a favorite in the eye candy department, 32-year-old actor James Franco is stirring up talk once again with his recent appearance on the cover of Candy Magazine dressed to the nines in full drag. The magazine, which teamed up with Franco and infamous fashion photographer Terry Richardson for the shoot, declares itself to be "The First Transversal Style Magazine" dedicated to "celebrating transvestism, transexuality, cross dressing and androgyny, in all its manifestations." Franco's Candy debut certainly lives up to all those standards, featuring him decked out in red lipstick, electric blue eyeliner, and cheekbones set to kill. Bet he never thought he'd add "tranny" to his resume, but I'm oh so glad he did.
Beyond the Franco shoot, Candy Magazine promises to keep the cross-dressing coming. In a recent video released in preview of the 337 page special issue, we catch a glimpse of some of the other iconic faces to be recreated in the magazine. Some of my favorites are their recreations of fashion icons such as Twiggy, Lady Gaga, Barbara Streisand and the notorious Anna Wintour. This is a magazine that embraces a counterculture from a brave and bold fashion perspective. The release date is set for October 24th...race you to the newsstands?
