So I may not have had the opportunity to attend a show during Paris Fashion Week, but that hasn’t stopped me from going out into the city, taking in the street style, and enjoying the people in one of the capitals of the fashion world.
If there was one show I knew I had to stalk, it was Chanel. It is a high-profile show where all the influential people in fashion can be seen. I took the metro to the Champs-Élysées stop where the Grand Palais is located and where the show was taking place. A crowd of impeccably dressed people awaited the exit of those who had the privilege to sit and experience the show.
People soon began to leave the venue; amongst the first was fashion blogger Bryan Boy, who stopped to take pictures of the gathered crowd. At one point, after checking for something in my bag, I happened to look back up to see none other than Grace Coddington, Creative Director of American Vogue. An immediate smile came over my face. I felt giddy and my heart was pounding like no other. I managed to snap some shots of the fiery red head (and boy is her hair red) and realized I had just been within feet of one of the greatest contributors to the industry.

Paris has an air of sophistication and fearlessness when it comes to fashion. Everyone I encountered seemed to believe in what they were wearing. To me, confidence in what you wear can truly define your ensemble, and those out in Paris during fashion week, have definitely proven that.
