Good Internet Conference at BAM

Love the internet?

Sorry, that was a silly question--you are, after all, reading this blog, which means you must love the internet and all of its wonderful distractions. But for every FML and TetrisBattle website, there's a person out there who is using the internet's power to try and achieve something good, and together they have revolutionized the way we connect with the world. Their cultural and political impact is the topic of next week's Good Internet Conference, hosted by the public policy think tank Roosevelt Institute. Next Wednesday (April 20th) the World Wide Web festivities will begin with a screening of the documentary Barbershop Punk at the BAM/PFA, followed by a Saturday conference where speakers (including Craigslist founder Craig Newmark) will discuss what it means to be a responsible digital citizen.

Registration for students is only $5, so hurry and get your ticket here today!
