Band of the Week: Walk the Moon
Last month, Young the Giant performed two sold out shows at The Fillmore. They were great. The opening band, however, surprised everyone with their instantly catchy songs and sparkling energy.
With their faces painted, band members of Walk the Moon invigorated the crowd, most of whom had never heard them prior to the show. It was hard to resist the urge to dance to their indie/dance rock tunes. As cheesy as it may sound, Walk the Moon reminded me of why I love going to concerts — for those unexpected moments of pure delight that result from the combination of fantastic friends, a lively atmosphere and new beats.
Not to mention, the band has really cool slap bracelets!
and an adorable bassist…
